How do I link my own domain name to a SweepBright Agency Site?

Find out which DNS settings to switch with your domain name registrar

Updated over 9 months ago

SweepBright provides a free domain name for every new account, for example brokerX.agency.re. If you want, you can use your own domain name with the SweepBright Agency Site by configuring the DNS settings.

First:

  • Check out the steps to configure your Agency Site here

  • Check out all website options here

To connect another domain name to the agency website, follow these steps:

  • Make sure your domain is registered under your name at your service provider.  If so, you're ready to go to step 2. If not, please request a transfer code and make sure you're registered as the domain name owner.

1. Change the domain name settings

Via e-mail

Please ask your domain name service provider to point your root domain (A record) to this IP address: 75.2.60.5 and the www. subdomain should redirect (CNAME record) to the root record. Feel free to use the mail template below.

Dear X,

I am the owner of www.brokerx.com and I want to link this domain name to an IP-address (SweepBright). Can you please do the following:

  • Point our root domain (A record) to this IP address: 75.2.60.5

  • Redirect the www. subdomain (CNAME record) to the root record

Via your domain name registrar’s dashboard

If you have access to your configuration settings of your service provider you could as well change the DNS settings yourself.

  • Point your root domain (A-record) to our IP address 75.2.60.5

  • redirect the www. subdomain (CNAME record) to the root record

2. Let SweepBright know your new domain name

When step 1 and 2 is done, please let us know at via the support chat in SweepBright.

Note: The change can take up to 24h to go into effect
Note: Forwarding to one or more domainname
Note: you can buy an own domain name at combell.com; register.be; one.com ;...
