What can I do about publication errors on portals?
What can I do about publication errors on portals?

You tried to publish a property to a portal and now have an error message? here’s what to do.

Updated yesterday

There’s likely a logical explanation and a simple solution to fix the issue. You can quickly check if a publication has failed. Errors are highlighted in red in several places.

  • On the Property view, a small red bubble will show how many listings have issues under the “Errors” tab in the publication list, as well as next to the “Publications” tab.

  • On the Properties table view, a “Publication Errors” column flags all potential issues.

How Can You Resolve These Errors?

Navigate to the “Errors” tab in the publication list for the specific property.

Here, you’ll see a list of portals that require your attention. A small “Details” button provides more information. While the initial part of the message might seem unclear, the last few words often hint at what’s wrong.

Common Reasons for Errors

  1. Missing Required Fields
Some mandatory fields (e.g., address, price, description) might be incomplete. Fill these in, and you can retry publication using the arrow button!

  2. The Property Is Still a “Prospect”
Only properties with at least “Available” status can be published to portals. Change the status and try again!

  3. Missing Mandate Number
Ensure the mandate number is filled in under the property settings and retry publication.

  4. Missing Fees Information
Whether fees are paid by the buyer or the seller, you must fill in at least one of these fields in the property details. Once completed, retry publication! 👍🏻
