It's now really easy to get the leads from your portals into SweepBright. By simply forwarding the emails (with a forward rule in your mailbox), we can read into the forwarded mails, capture all the information of the lead and link it to the right property in your account. This way everyone can save a bunch of time 👌Did you know we automatically create preferences for incoming leads?

The only thing you'll have to do is setting up an automated forward rule. Follow the next steps to find out how.

Setting a forward rule in your mailbox

To add leads to your SweepBright account, we need all the details and preferences from these leads. We gather this information from the emails that are sent by the portals. That's why it's important these emails are forwarded to our 'forwarding' email addresses (see below). You can do this manually but we highly recommend you to setup an automated forwarding rule. How you set this up, depends on the e-mail client you use.

Outlook

This article explains exactly how you can setup a forwarding rule in Outlook.
Eventually, this is how it should look like in an Outlook mailbox (NL)

Gmail

You will be asked a transfer code, during the installation of the forward. Please contact us and we will provide the code.

Other mailclient?

Obviously, there are a bunch of other mailclients. How about Apple Mail for example? Simply find an article on the internet 'how to install a forwarding rule on XXX' and I'm sure you'll find plenty of articles and/or videos to help you. Follow the same analogy as the rules shown on top for Outlook or Gmail.

Important remarks:

  • The installation of a forwarding rule (and filter) always has to be done in the actual e-mailbox where the leads of the portals come in. If portal e-mails come in in individual e-mail boxes of your agents, install a forwarding rule on server level (ask your 'IT-guy' for help if needed)  or clearly brief every colleague individually. Don't forget: they will save a bunch of time like this!

  • It's important you create a filter, after you've set the forward to the correct email address. Otherwise all of your emails will be forwarded to our mailbox. Click on 'Create a filter' and fill in the email address of the portal.
    (e.g [email protected]).

  • You're installing a forward rule. This means you'll still receive the original portal mail. If all goes right, you'll receive both an email from the portal and right after a 'new lead' mail from SweepBright. Some e-mail clients have the option to mark a mail as read after it is forwarded.

What forward email address should I use?

So, what forwarding address should I be using? This depends on the portal. Clearly name the forwarding rule based on the portal.
